    All-Round Superior to Lead-Acid Battery

Experience unmatched power with the LiTime LiFePO4 marine starting battery, offering superior performance compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. With over 5000 cranking cycles and an impressive 10-year lifespan, it outperforms the competition. Weighing just 9.68 lbs, it’s 21% lighter than a 12V 20Ah lead-acid battery, providing the most efficient and reliable energy solution for your marine needs.

    Three Fast Charging Ways

With the LiTime 12V 20Ah starting battery, you can choose from three convenient charging options to suit your needs. Whether you use a LiFePO4 battery charger,  generator, or outboard alternator, you can fully charge your battery efficiently and reliably. We recommend 0.5C(10A) charging current, about 2 hours to charge fully. And only 40 minutes to fully charge if charged with a maximum continuous charge current of 1.5C (30A).Compared with lead-acid battery charging (usually charging current is 0.1C), the max. The charging current of the LiFePO4 battery can shorten the charging time by 15 times, so it can be charged with more power in a shorter period, which can satisfy the demand of going out in a hurry.

    FAQ

Q: Can I use the battery to start the car engine?

    A:

No. Please DO NOT use this battery as a starter battery for any type of vehicle, including cars, motorcycles, or tractors.

To ensure safe usage of the battery, please follow these precautions:

    1. Starter Battery: Do not use this battery as a starter battery for any vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, or trucks.
    2. Engine Compatibility: This battery is not suitable for engines (like outboard motors) that rely on a charging coil instead of an alternator.
    3. Mounting in Marine Applications: When used in marine starting equipment (such as fuel outboard engines) or in vibrating environments, ensure the battery is securely mounted. It should not be used in areas with heavy vibrations, such as on tractors.
    4. Secure Installation: When using with outboard engines or in shaking environments, make sure to securely fasten the battery to prevent damage from movement.
    5. Cable Length: Position the battery close to the outboard motor, as longer cable lengths can lead to voltage loss, typically between 3% and 10%. If the voltage drop exceeds this range, consider reducing the total cable length.
    6. Water Protection: The 12V 20Ah marine cranking battery has an IP67 protection rating. To avoid potential issues, do not fully submerge it in bilge water. To keep the battery components safe from water exposure, it is recommended to install the battery in a waterproof container and/or elevate its position .

Q: How to know whether the battery can be applied to start my fuel outboard motor?

    A:

When selecting a battery for your fuel outboard motor, please ensure it meets the following conditions:

    1. Verify that the required Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) for your outboard motor is less than the battery’s CCA rating of 800A.
    2. If your outboard motor is equipped with an alternator, ensure that the alternator’s output current is less than the battery’s maximum supported charging current of 80A.

Q: What should I do when I receive the battery?

    A:

When you receive your battery, please note that it may have a low State of Charge (SOC) due to transportation and storage. For optimal performance, we recommend charging the battery immediately to avoid over-discharge.

Fully charge the battery with battery charger for LiFePO4 lithium  before first use. Battery voltage lower than 11.5V will not be able to start motors.

The duration of a single start should not exceed 3 seconds. If the primary ignition fails, wait 15 seconds before attempting to restart. If the motor still does not start after three attempts, check for other issues and wait 5 minutes before trying again.

Q: Can I connect the LiTime 12V 20Ah marine cranking battery in series or parallel?

    A:

No. This battery doesn't support series or parallel connection.

Didin't read if it was not for outboard with stator

When it arrived the first thing I did was to read the manual. At th STARTING USAGE section at the second line:"This product does not apply to (OUTBOARD) motors that use a charging coil insted of an alternator." Since I've got a 2023 mercury 115 Proxs wich has a charging coil I can't use this battery. Sad the delevry and size weight are slendid.
