Thanks to the sealed batteries, I was able to replace all batteries with 6 OBM Lithium Marine batteries for greater than 500 pound less weight. No. Designed for electric outboards, this OBM battery powers electric outboard motors, trolling motors, and onboard electronics. Will this battery avoid supplying too much voltage, current, or heat to the motor?

All LiTime batteries, including outboard motor batteries, are provide 5 basic BMS protections: overheat, overcurrent, overcharge, overdischarge, and short circuit protections.

More than that, with LiTime newly upgraded BMS, the outboard morot batteries provides more than 20+ protections (including the above 5 basic protections): low-temp cut-off protection, auto-recovery after overload protection (30s), pre-charge function, moisture and salt-spray resistance.

How to charge the LiTime LiFePO4 lithium marine batteries?

Because LiFePO4 lithium batteries have different charging requirements than lead-acid batteries, we recommend using a LiFePO4 lithium battery charger.

Here are the charging options for LiTime lithium marine batteries:

1. AC-DC Lithium Battery Charger: Select a charger with the appropriate voltage to safely charge the battery.

2. Solar Panels: When using solar panels, always connect a solar charge controller to ensure safe charging.

3. Alternator/Generator:

DC Output: If your alternator or generator provides DC output, you will need a DC-to-DC charger to connect the battery.
AC Output: If it provides AC output, use a compatible battery charger as specified in the product manual to safely connect the battery and generator.
