How long will a 100Ah lithium battery run a trolling motor?

The run time of your trolling motor depends on the amp hour (Ah) capacity of your battery and the motor's current draw. Follow this simple formula:

Run Time (hours) = Battery Capacity (Ah) / Motor Current Draw (A)

For example:

Your trolling motor draws 54A at full throttle. You have a 100Ah battery.

Run Time = Battery Capacity / Current Draw

= 100Ah / 54A

= 1.85 hours

= 1 hour and 51 minutes

So the 100Ah battery would run the 54A motor for about 1 hour 51 minutes at full speed.

To find low speed run time:

If the motor draws 10A at half throttle.

Run Time = Battery Capacity / Current Draw

= 100Ah / 10A

= 10 hours

Can I charge my LiTime 12V 100Ah TM battery in freezing temperatures?

No, charging this battery below 0°C (32°F) is automatically prevented to protect it from permanent damage.

The battery's built-in management system (BMS) features low-temperature cut-off protection. This means if the internal cell temperature is at or below freezing, the BMS will block the charging current. Once the temperature rises above freezing, charging will automatically be allowed again.

Safe Charging Range: 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F)

How to charge LiTime 12V 100Ah TM lithium batteries?

There are three primary methods for charging your LiTime battery.

1. Solar Charging

With at least 400W of solar panels, you can fully charge your battery in a single day, assuming 4.5 hours of effective sunshine.
Please note that charging times will vary depending on weather conditions, sunlight intensity, and duration.

2. LiFePO4 Smart Charger

Using a dedicated LiFePO4 smart charger is the most recommended method. It ensures optimal performance and longevity for your battery.

3. Generator or Alternator

For DC Output: A DC-to-DC charger is required to safely connect the battery.
For AC Output: Use a compatible AC-to-DC battery charger.

Recommended Charging Settings

When using a smart charger, generator, or alternator, please adhere to the following settings:

Charging Voltage: 14.2V to 14.6V
Charging Current Options:Standard (20A / 0.2C): Fully charges to 100% in approximately 5 hours.Fast (50A / 0.5C): Charges to about 97% in approximately 2 hours.

Ok from full charge on the 2 group 31 100 amp trolling motor batteries I have been trolling a 16 ft Deep V Tracker boat on a 42 lb thrust trolling motor. We have been trolling 19 hrs 37 minutes on a full charge until they went dead. We have been trolling 3 to 4 hrs every day for the total hours mentioned. We were trolling at about a 50% power setting for just about the whole time at about 1.2 to 1.6 MPH. So far we are pretty happy with the performance of our batteries.

Work great, used them three times so far and the batteries keep my trolling motor running strong.
