What is the lifespan of LiTime 12V 6A LiFePO4 lithium battery?

The LiTime LiFePO4 lithium battery provides 4000 to 15,000 life cycles, offering a lifespan of 10 years or more based on usage. In comparison, lead-acid and AGM batteries generally last only 300-500 cycles before experiencing significant capacity loss. Though LiTime LiFePO4 batteries require a higher initial investment, their long-term cost efficiency makes them a wise choice in the long run.

How do I know what size of LiFePO4 lithium battery I need?

It all comes down to your priorities. The LiTime LiFePO4 lithium battery offers roughly twice the capacity of lead-acid and AGM batteries. If your goal is longer runtime (more amps), upgrading to a battery with the same or higher amp rating is ideal. For example, replacing a 100Ah lead-acid battery with a LiTime 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery will give you about double the amps at half the weight. If you're looking for a smaller, lighter, or more affordable option, you could replace the 100Ah battery with a LiTime 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 battery. You'll get similar runtime at a lower cost and about 1/6 of the weight. For specific dimensions, refer to the spec sheet or contact us with any questions or custom requirements.

Are LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries safe?

Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. LiTime lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All LiTime LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.

Can I use LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries as starting batteries?

No. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.

Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries wiith solar panels?

Yes, you can charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. You should size your charge controller based on the voltage and current output of your solar array setup. That will ensure that your charge controller can process and regulate the power coming from your solar panels. Take a 24V MAX. 22 amps output solar system as example. You would need a solar charge controller that can handle 24 volts and 27.5 amps (125% of your max current output).

Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?

LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C). LiTime 12V 100Ah Smart LiFePO4 batteries include the low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point. If necessary (not recommended), you can push the low-temp protection button twice, then the BMS would allow your battery to charge under the freezing point for emergency use.

How do I store LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

It is recommended to store LiTime LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, recharge the batteries at least every 3 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃～35℃ (50℉～95℉), 45%RH～75％RH

3 out of 4 ain't bad. lol.

Ordered a 4 pack of the 6Ah batts, on Wednesday, had 3 of them delivered the following Monday... very good.... BUT....
There never was a shipping notification for the 4th batt, and of course it didn't come.
I contacted LiTime IMMEDIATELY, via support email, sent at 10:00PM, and went to bed.
Woke up to e reply which was sent at 2:47AM.
So.. excellent response time, and I sent a more detailed letter with tracking numbers matched to serial numbers, etc, to help them out.
Now, we'll see if the quick response turns into quick action.
I will update or add to this when things are resolved.
Mistakes happen, especially as things get busy this time of year, so I hold no grudge there....
The deciding factor on whether I go ahead with LiTime for my full scale project, will be decided by how quickly, efficiently, and effectively things move forward from here...

Fairly light weight at 80 lbs. Only took about a day to fully charge with solar panels, and it runs my 3000 W inverter with no issues. 400ah is well worth getting instead of 4-100ah batteries connected together due to less wiring and possible loose connections. Highly recommend.
