How will installing lithium batteries improve the performance of a golf cart?
Lithium batteries can provide greater continuous discharge for your golf cart, allowing you to easily handle hills and slopes.
Are LiTime LiFePO4 batteries safe?
Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. LiTime lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All LiTime LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.
Can I convert an ezgo golf cart to lithium batteries?
Yes. LiTime 48V 60Ah lithium golf cart battery can be used in ezgo golf cart.
Recommend charging current: 12A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5hrs to 100% capacity. 18A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 3.3hrs to around 97% capacity.
Attention:
Connect the charger to the battery before connecting it to the grid power in case of sparks.
Remember to disconnect the charger from the battery after fully charging.
2. Solar Panels
The battery can be fully charged in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5 hrs/day) by 700W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥700W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.
3. Generator/Alternator
If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations. The Recommended Charging Voltage: 56.8V ~ 58.4V .
The Recommended Charging Current: ① 12A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 18A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 3.3 hrs to around 97% capacity.
Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?
LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C). LiTime 12V 100Ah TM & 230Ah LiFePO4 batteries include low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point.
How do I store LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries?
It is recommended to store lithium LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 3 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃～35℃ (50℉～95℉), 45%RH～75％RH

Fairly light weight at 80 lbs. Only took about a day to fully charge with solar panels, and it runs my 3000 W inverter with no issues. 400ah is well worth getting instead of 4-100ah batteries connected together due to less wiring and possible loose connections. Highly recommend.
