Low Current Port for Added Flexibility
For total control over your system, the charger includes a Low Current (LC) port. By connecting the LC port to the IN+ port with the provided signal cable, you can easily limit the charging current from 40A down to 20A.
This is an ideal feature for protecting vehicles with smaller alternators or more sensitive electrical systems. If you don't need current limiting, simply leave the port disconnected to use the full 40A capacity.
This battery charger is designed to work with both conventional and smart alternators. However, because conventional alternators maintain a consistent voltage during charging, while smart alternators adjust their charging output based on operating conditions, it is necessary to connect the charger to the smart alternator using the Signal cable provided with the package through the Vehicle Ignition Port.
It's suitable for 12V Lithium, Gel, AGM, and Calcium batteries. This charger enables the batteries to reach a full 100% charge. Additionally, it has the capability to revive lithium batteries that have become discharged to a low voltage.
