Tips for Optimal Performance
For optimal performance and safety, the LiTime 12V 100Ah Group 27 battery can be installed in the front, side, or bottom orientations. Back and top orientations are not permitted. The battery also supports four charging methods—please follow these guidelines to ensure safe, reliable operation in any setup.
Size Matters: Why Choose LiTime Group 27 Over Group 31?
The primary distinction between the Group 27 and Group 31 batteries is their physical footprint. While Group 31 batteries typically measure 13 * 6.77 * 8.43 inches, the Group 27 model offers a more streamlined profile at 12.13 * 6.69 * 8.31 inches. This compact design ensures seamless compatibility with standard Group 27-31 battery boxes.
Despite its smaller stature, it boasts a 10% higher energy density than our 12V 100Ah Group 31 battery. You get the same reliable power in a lighter package, reducing your RV’s load and making travel more efficient.
Important: Initial Activation & Storage Guidelines
1. First-Time Activation: To ensure safety during transit, LiTime Bluetooth batteries are shipped in an "Off State" with a terminal voltage of 3V–5V. This is a normal protective feature. Upon arrival, please use an AC-DC charger or MPPT controller to charge the battery. This will wake up the BMS, establish the Bluetooth connection, and restore the battery to its functional state.
2. Long-Term Maintenance: If storing the battery for an extended period, we recommend maintaining a 50% State of Charge (SOC). To preserve peak performance and longevity, please perform a maintenance charge cycle every three months.
The 12V Group 27 lithium battery supports maximum connections of 4 in series and 4 in parallel. Allow you to build up a maximum battery system of 16 battery units with 20.48kWh Max. capacity and 20.48kW of Max. power.
Note: To connect in series or /and parallel, batteries should meet the below conditions:
a. identical batteries with the same battery capacity (Ah) and BMS (A);
b. from the same brand (as lithium battery from different brands has their special BMS);
c. purchased in near time (within one month)
1. Using Solar Panels
The battery can be fully charged in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5 hrs/day) by 400W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥400W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.
2. Generator/Alternator
If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations. The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 20A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 50A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.
3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers
To charge 12V battery, it is recommended to use 14.6V battery charger.
The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V.
The Recommended Charging Current: ① 20A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 50A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.
