Are LiTime LiFePO4 batteries safe?

Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. LiTime lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All LiTime LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.

Can I use LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries as starting batteries?

No. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.

Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels?

Yes, you can charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. Here are 3 recommended ways to charge LiFePO4 lithium batteries.

1. Using Solar Panels

The LiTime 12V 300Ah battery can be fully charged by in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5hrs/day) by 1200W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥1200W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.

2. Generator/Alternator

If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations.

The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 60A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 150A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?

LiFePO4 lithium batteries can safely charge between 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C). LiTime 12V 100Ah TM & 230Ah LiFePO4 batteries include low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point.

How many LiTime 12V 300Ah lithium Batteries can I connect at most?

He 12V sereis batteries support versatile connections, including series, parallel, and series-parallel
connection. You can connect 12V 300Ah up to 4 batteries in series, 4 in parallel, or 16 in the series-parallel connection to create 40.96kW capacity and 61.44kWh energy.

Batteries of the same model and similar capacity are required.

How do I store LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

It is recommended to store LiTime LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 3 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃～35℃ (50℉～95℉），45%RH～75％RH

I have 4 100Ah batterries in my trailer now for 2 years. I can't say enough about the productivity that they put out. So much that I put a 300Ah battery system in my friends trailer. I have run my AC unit for 5 hours without a problem

I have 4 of them installed and they are awesome. Great power source and looking forward to stress testing very soon. A huge weight saver too.

Roll the dice

The battery seemed great at first until I tried running a 1,000 peak watt drill with it when fully charged to 13.3 resting volts. It set off the internal breaker, which resets when you charge it. Now this thing turns off every time I simply switch on my inverter which has a 7 watt idle consumption. It acts like it has bad cells in it judging by how low the voltage is when I start charging it. We will see how customer support responds to this situation
