Upon receiving your battery, please note that it may arrive with a low State of Charge (SOC) as a result of the transportation and storage process. To ensure peak performance, we advise promperly charging the battery to prevent over-discharge.

If you intend to store the battery for an extended period without use, we recommend charging it to a SOC 50% and conducting maintenance every three months. These measures will help preserve its functionality and performance in the long run.

How do I monitor the battery status?

The group 24 battery smart battery built-in Bluetooth feature lets you monitor your battery's real-time status—including state of charge (SOC), voltage, current, cycle life, and temperature—directly from your smartphone. Just download the LiTime Battery App, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and select your battery from the list of available devices. No extra hardware is needed.

How many batteries can I connect in sereis or parallel?

You can easily expand your power system using LiTime Group 24 batteries by connecting them in various configurations.

Series Connection: Connect up to 4 batteries to increase voltage to 48V.
Parallel Connection: Connect up to 4 batteries to increase capacity to 400Ah.
Series-Parallel Connection: Build a larger bank of up to 16 batteries (for example, a 4-series and 4-parallel, or 4S4P, setup).

Important Rules for Connecting Batteries

For your system to operate safely and perform optimally, all connected batteries must meet the following criteria:

Same Specifications: They must have the identical capacity (Ah) and BMS (Battery Management System) current rating (A).
Same Brand: Only connect LiTime batteries with other LiTime batteries. Different brands often have incompatible BMS programming, which can lead to system failure.
Purchased Recently: All batteries should be purchased within a short timeframe (ideally one month) to ensure they are from a similar manufacturing batch and have balanced internal characteristics.

How to charge LiTime Group 24 Bluetooth lithium batteries?

You can charge your LiFePO4 battery using several methods. Here are the three most common ways, along with our recommended settings for optimal performance and lifespan.

1. LiFePO4 Smart Charger

This is the most direct and recommended method. Use a smart charger specifically designed for 12V LiFePO4 batteries. It ensures a safe, efficient, and complete charge.

2. Solar Panels + MPPT Solar Charge Controller

Your battery can be charged with solar power.

Under ideal conditions, the battery can be fully charged in a single day using 400W of solar panels (assuming 4.5 hours of peak, effective sunlight).
Important: Actual charging time can vary significantly based on weather conditions, sun intensity, panel angle, and time of year. It may take longer than one day in cloudy or less-than-ideal conditions.

3. Generator or Vehicle Alternator

You can use a generator or your vehicle's alternator, but you must use the correct equipment to protect the battery.

For DC Output: You will need a quality DC-to-DC charger. This is essential to regulate the power from your alternator or generator to the battery.
For AC Output: Use a compatible AC-to-DC smart battery charger (like the one mentioned in method 1) to safely charge the battery from your generator's AC outlet.

Recommended Charging Settings

When using a smart charger or a DC-to-DC charger, we advise using the following settings:

Charging Voltage: 14.2V to 14.6V (14.6V is highly recommended).
Charging Current:Standard Charge (20A / 0.2C): Charges the battery to 100% in approximately 5 hours. Fast Charge (50A / 0.5C): Charges the battery to ~97% in approximately 2 hours.

What are the Differences Between a Group 24 and Group 31 Battery?

The main difference between a LiTime Group 24 and Group 31 battery lies in their physical size. Group 24 batteries are generally smaller compared to Group 31 batteries.

Purchased both batteries on the recommendation of a friend who has the same set up as me for the past two years and absolutely loves them. Exclusively to use with my 80 pound Minn Kota electric motor. Installed in December, boat in garage that never freezes. Checked three months later and both batteries less than four volts. Emailed Li Time and next day advise that batteries had probably gone into a full battery management system shutdown. They advises how to activate, successful with one, but not the other. They sent me a return slip and exchange the battery within three days. In the spring of this year, I used them with the electric trolling motor and was impressed with the power. But several weeks later, the same incident occurred. I suspect my electric trolling motor which I did not unplug was drawing the batteries down. Emailed Li Time and again they advise that both batteries had gone into a full BMS and that I would need a battery charger that has an activation function to allow them to be charged. As no one in my area has this type of charger again I advised Litime and they sent me a battery charger to activate both batteries. Again only one battery would activate so once again they replaced the battery and today everything is working fine. Their response and service is in second to none. Although I have had my challenges with these batteries , within one day, they have always responded with concrete advice and replaced when necessary. There is a bit of a learning curve with lithium batteries to understand the BMS system. Another advantage of these batteries is a substantial reduction in weight with both batteries in the front of my boat. I would highly recommend this product, especially with the service that comes with it.
